This was a very interesting year for us in Santa Cruz! We were glad that Mike & Jess and Jon & Julia's families got to come down but so sorry that it wasn't a typical year. First of all, Mardi was in and out of the emergency room with terrible pain which they could not figure out but eventually went away, then the weather was a bit chilly with the sun not coming out (except for Sunday of course) Gregg and I are perfectly happy with no sun (it makes for perfect, cool naps in the afternoon!!) and Friday night when Kyle went to bed he said he didn't feel too well, thinking that something he ate maybe didn't agree with him. In the middle of the night he woke up throwing up and it didn't stop until 12 hours later. He was exhausted! There is nothing worse than throwing up and being sick while you are camping. He practically froze all night being outside throwing up. He came into the trailer in the morning to try to get some real sleep but he was still sick. Mike and Jess had to go to the Boardwalk all by themselves...I am sure the newlyweds didn't mind too much!!
Then to top it all off Gregg got sick Monday morning just in time to pack up and go home....it was a miserable ride home but luckily I only had to pull over once so Gregg could throw up! Yuck!!
I hate barf!! I don't know how I lucked out....but I never got that flu! Lucky Me!!
I was so glad that Mike and Jess were there to help with the unpacking and clean up!
